The Oncology Program

27 February 2022 – The bombing of the Kharkiv Centre for Oncology and the day everything changed for Mission Kharkiv

This event motivated

us to

organize a consistent, quality supply of cancer care and other medication to Ukraine, and create a better system for our doctors and patients

The majority of our target patients lack access to vital medications, funds needed to pay for care, and adequate support from the government. Through our Oncology Program, we aim to provide people with the affordable and accessible care needed to fight their cancer, get into remission, and survive.

How our Oncology Program works:

1
Patients provide us with a signed and sealed doctor’s prescription needed to reserve medication from Mission Kharkiv.
2
Patients also provide us with relevant documents: ID, IPN, their medical records, and histological and radiological exams verifying their diagnosis.
3
We provide patients with one dose of medication needed for one round of prescribed treatment while we independently verify their documents.
4
After we verify their documents and establish a connection with them and their doctors, we reserve enough medication for them to fulfill their entire course of treatment.
5
We provide our donors with detailed reports of how and where medications are being used.
6
Finally, we carry out statistical data analysis to track the efficacy of our Oncology Program and ensure any future decisions we make are data driven.
